Prayer Requests

The nuns at Dongyu Gatsal Ling Nunnery hold a three-hour prayer ritual of the Buddha Akshobhya once a month on the day of New Moon. This ritual is especially beneficial for those who are recently deceased and those in the Bardo. Prayers are offered for all beings so it is not necessary to be Buddhist to benefit.

The DGL Nunnery nuns recite Green Tara each day. Another prayer option is to offer dedications for a month of Green Tara practice. Why Green Tara? We praise Tara for all the qualities that she embodies. She has the ability to act very swiftly. These prayers are good especially to remove obstacles, bring fearlessness, pacify negativities, and to fulfil aspirations.
